Welcome to the teenage mind.
School of Thought Magazine was established in 2025 by fellow student writer Grace Welter. After spending the summer after her freshman year at the School of the New York Times, Grace realized that many amazing young writers struggled (as she herself did) to find publications interested in student’s work that weren’t of extremely low acceptance. She found that her struggles to have her work asserted next to older and more experienced writers weren’t singular. So she decided to create a platform for students by students.
School of Thought Magazine is just that. We have seasonal publications and the magazine is published online and in print. We also publish selected works online on our blog. We can’t wait to hear your words.

Grace is a fellow student writer, who, after years of struggling to find space for her own work to be published, started School of Thought Magazine as a platform for young writers to showcase their work.
